I build my fly rods for me, even if they are destined for another home, and as such, I build them as if I were going to forever fish them myself.

Throughout the build each rod seems to develop a unique personality and soul, which at the end  of the process leads to a unique name for each individual rod. Without fail, they  always seem to live up to their given name.

Then I give them to someone. My hope is that they are able to discover the fly rod's personality and feel it's soul. I want my fly rods to become a trusted fishing companion.
